Since its establishment in 2000, the Izmir Short Film Festival has become one of the most important short film festivals in Turkey. As the sole film festival in Izmir for years, the Festival has a key role in the cultural landscape of the city.

Outstanding shorts from all genres including narrative, documentary, animation and experimental films compete in the National and International Competition categories for the Golden Cat awards.

Workers leaving the factory (again) will participate in the Focus on Sound in Film section presented in collaboration with Birds Eye View London.
